Within our range of electronic products, we have emergency pager transmitters for aircraft, ELTs (Emergency Locator Transmitter). These are designed to match aircraft characteristics such as commercial airplanes, personal airplanes, military aircraft, cargo airplanes, helicopters, military jets, and for safety reasons must be present on most aircraft.
They are similar in size to the EPIRBs and are larger than the PLBs, distinguishing themselves essentially by their automatic activation with force G: in situations of aircraft crash and in the presence of some incapacitation of the crew, the ELT automatically activates transmitting an aerial signal For the COSPAS-SARSAT system. However, it can also be activated manually by the pilot via remote control in the dashboard in the cockpit.
ELTs meet TSO requirements C91a and C126.
ELTs Characteristics (it can change throw the chosen model):
- Designed for easy installation on the airplane
- Automatic activation (by force G) and manual (by the pilot in the cabin)
- Portable, it can be removed from the plane and put a bracelet
- With or without GPS, internal or external
- Internal or external antenna, compatible with a range of antennas
- Waterproof until 10 m
- Optimized battery life even at low temperatures (-20ºC)
- Non-hazardous battery for transport purposes
- 406 MHz, 121.5 MHz d 243MHz transmission
- Bright red light for device identification/location
